Colchester Cemeteries

RAIN, RAIN, RAIN.... The rain was light and the temperature was just right to spend a few hours cleaning and resetting monuments at the Old Methodist Cemetery on Main St. in Colchester. Thank you to all volunteers and VOCA members who got muddy and wet. It was nice to meet the new folks and hope those that are now hooked on this to keep coming back to this page, the Town of Colchester social media and VOCA FB page to see what and when is next. I hope in the next a couple of weeks to have a few before and after shots so everyone can see the good work that was done.

The Town of Colchester Parks and Recreation Department and the Town Clerk's Office is responsible for maintaining the following six cemeteries:

Champlain Cemetery (Route 2, off Jasper Mine Road)
Fort Ethan Allen Cemetery (On Route 15)
Malletts Bay Cemetery (On West Lakeshore Drive)
Old Methodist Church Cemetery (Behind the Colchester Center Volunteer Fire Company on Main Street)
Munson Cemetery (On Route 7/2, next to the Respite House)
Village Cemetery (Behind Burnham Memorial Library on Main Street)
