  6. Green Mountain Audubon Society Presents: Birding in Chile

    Bob and Shirley Johnson traveled to Chile in 2017 on a birding trip. During this program, Shirley will talk about the birds, plants, and scenery they saw during this trip showing great pictures taken by Bob, trip leader, Andy Whitaker, and fellow traveler, Ann Truesdale. The pictures include spectacular views of some of Chile’s volcanoes, mountains, flowers, birds and wildlife, including pumas, penguins, plantcutters, pelicans, plovers, and many more interesting subjects!

  1. Muck It Up! Adventure Race

    September 29, 2018, 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM @ Bayside Park

    The Muck It Up! Adventure Race will return in 2018! Challenge yourself this fall as Colchester Parks & Recreation’s Race Series brings back the Muck It Up - Outdoor Challenge! Racers will truly enjoy this off-road course as it intertwines through woods, fields and water during Vermont’s beautiful fall foliage season. The event will involve trail running, paddling and mountain biking, on a beginner-intermediate pre-set, marked course. Racers will receive post-race refreshments, timed results, race shirt and finisher’s award. Top finishers in each division will receive the coveted Muck It Up Mantle Award!

Selectboard

  1. Selectboard Meeting

    September 25, 2018, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM @ Outer Bay Conference Room

    The selectboard is responsible for general supervision of the affairs of the town; this includes enacting ordinances and rules, proposing an annual budget and setting the tax rate, appointing individuals to non-elected boards and commissions, and a variety of other related tasks. Meetings are on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month, 6:30 pm, at the Colchester Town Offices, 781 Blakely Road, in the Outer Bay Conference Room on the 3rd floor. Enter through the front door of the building and take the elevator or the stairs to the left. Special meetings at different times and locations are also held occasionally throughout the year.
