This week the contractor installed the final layer of pavement on Route 7/2 between Champlain Farms and the Irving Gas Station and the Bay Road/Route 127 intersection. Poles for the traffic signal at the Bay Road intersection were erected on Thursday, but it will take a few weeks before the lights will be fully operating.
Next Tuesday, the contractor plans to continue paving of driveway entrances and parking areas disturbed by construction.
The construction project will shut down for the Thanksgiving weekend at noon on Wednesday, November 22, and work will resume on Monday, November 27.Access to businesses will remain OPEN at all times.PLEASE DRIVE WITH CAUTION THROUGH THE WORK ZONE AND “HANDS FREE” IF USING A CELL PHONE.Questions?
