BOARD AND COMMISSION OPENINGS:

The Town of Colchester has openings on the following Boards and Commissions.

Recreation Advisory Board

The Colchester Recreation Department Advisory Board currently has an opening for a 2-year term. For more information, you can read the position description here (PDF format).

The Colchester Governance Committee is in need of two additional members. They have recently been appointed by the Selectboard to look at Colchester’s Charter and government structure.  
They are looking for a member that is:

1. A Colchester resident
2. available for twice a month meetings on Thursdays for the next 16 months
3. Willing and available to work on assignments between meetings
4. experienced working with a group on a collaborative process
5. has or is willing to get a Gmail account to make collaboration easier.

Channel 17 Representative for Colchester

The Town of Colchester has an opening for a Channel 17 Representative. The volunteer position will need to attend meetings on the third Thursday of every month at 5:00 pm at Channel 17 headquarters at 294 North Winooski Avenue in Burlington. The meetings typically last an hour and a half. For more information call June at 264-5509.

Cemetery Commission Members

The Colchester Cemetery Commission is looking for two new members. They meet once a month usually on the 2nd Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. Download an application here or call 264-5509 for more information.
