Maintenance I Highway Worker

The Department of Public Works is seeking a motivated and collaborative person to join its highway maintenance team. Successful applicants will have experience in the maintenance and construction of roads and drainage systems. Deputy Town Manager

The Town of Colchester is seeking a dynamic professional to serve as Deputy Town Manager. The incumbent will provide the day to day oversight to the general operations and functions of the Town Government, consisting of approximately 110 FTE’s and upwards of 200 seasonal staff and volunteers; assist the Town Manager with special projects and assures the continuity of all services.  This position provides support to the Town Manager in any capacity he/she may request.  In addition, the Deputy Town Manager will oversee the General Management, Business Management, Budgeting, and Coordination of Town Public Communications.

The ideal candidate is motivated, organized and will be continuously working to improve the operations of the town government.  This candidate will be an experienced local government professional with the ability to provide sound advice on financial and policy matters to the Town Manager and Selectboard.  The successful candidate will have experience in general management, business management and budgeting. Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.  Experience working with unions is preferred.

Day Camp Counselor

Responsible for leading children ages 4 - entering grade 1 (JRX), and/or entering grades 2-3 (Explorer), entering grades 4-6 (Xtreme) and entering grades 1-8 (Specialty Camps) in a week-long day camp. Experiences include: arts & crafts, non-competitive games, swimming, nature activities, cooking, sports and group activities. Full description here.
