Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the Town Clerk's Office would like to encourage absentee voting as safe alternative.
How To Get Your Absentee Ballot
My Voter Page, https://mvp.vermont.gov/ is where you can set up a personal voter account to request absentee ballots to be sent and keep track of your ballot until it is received and counted.
Request by phone at 802-264-5520 to have your absentee ballot sent by US Postal Mail.
Request absentee ballot at the Town Clerk's Counter during business hours. Voting of absentee ballots will not be allowed within Town Hall due to Covid-19 safety concerns.
The Town Clerk’s Office has a drive up drop box available at the Town Offices (781 Blakely Rd.). Please be sure to put your voted ballot into the Certificate Envelope and complete the signature section before you drop into that box. The deadline to drop into that box is February 28 at 4:30 pm. These voted ballots sealed in completed Certificate envelopes can also be dropped off at the polling location (Colchester High School) on Election Day until 7:00 pm. There will be a drop box at the Help Desk in the center of the gym.
Colchester Election Early/Absentee Ballot Drop Box is located at 781 Blakely Rd. between the Town Hall and Police Dept. buildings.
