Colchester Youth Basketball League (CYBL)

2019 - 2020 Season: November 18 - February 15


Get ready for another fun season with CYBL!  Our league is open to all Colchester students in grades 1 - 8.  Kindergarten Basketball will also begin in January 2020.
  • Each team will have a 1-hour practice once per week on assigned weekdays between the hours of  6:00 - 9:00 pm
  • All teams will have at least one 1-hour game on Saturdays, beginning Saturday, January 4th.  Games times vary between 8 am - 4 pm
  • Games are practices will be held at the Malletts Bay School (Grades 1 - 4) and the Colchester Middle School (Grades 5 - 8).  
  • Grades 5/6 and Grades 7/8 will have the opportunity to travel to play teams from surrounding communities.
  • VOLUNTEER COACHES NEEDED! Please contact the Rec Department if you are interested! Training will be provided. 
  • $5.00 less per sibling
  • EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT: Register before October 18th to save $10 on your CYBL registration.
  • REGISTRATION DEADLINE: No registrations accepted after December 20th

Grades 1 & 2 (Coed)


The fee is $60.00 ($70 after 10/18)
$45.00 if you have a jersey from last year ($55 after 10/18)
Games will be held between 8:00 - 10:00 am.

Volunteer Coaches

Kindergarten Basketball


Registrations for Kindergarten Basketball are now OPEN!  You can now using our ONLINE REGISTRATION SYSTEM or complete a Registration Form (PDF) and send it into the office.  You do NOT need to complete a CYBL Registration Form, just a basic form.  

This program is perfect for boys and girls to learn proper techniques before joining the Colchester Youth Basketball League in the First Grade. Your child will learn teamwork, ball-handling and shooting skills through our station-based practice plans while using age-appropriate equipment. We will have competitions, team & family games, and have a TON of FUN!  All you need are sneakers!

Kindergarten Basketball Academy runs Saturdays, 1/11 - 2/15, 8:00 - 8:45 am at the Malletts Bay School Gym.  The fee is $50(R) / $60(NR).  If there are any weather cancellations during this program, there will be no make up classes.  All participants get t-shirts and a class photo.
