Recently, the Selectboard adopted organizational priorities based upon Town Manager and Department Head input. In summary, they fall under these major themes:
Organizational
- Cost containment and revenue enhancements
- Cross department coordination/assistance
- Improved external and internal communications
- Build staff capacity and engagement as well as continue succession planning
- Accountability and organizational alignment with overall priorities and goals
Community
- Clean Water Initiative – Water Quality Management Plan implementation, Sewers/Storm-sewers, Low Impact/Green Development Standards, Wastewater Management Standards and Land Use Changes
- Address Capital and Facilities Needs to include Library programming space, Airport Park Maintenance Building, and Town office 3rd Floor meeting space
- Emergency Service needs including staffing, training and coordination with other agencies
- Improved communications/social media
- Governance – 2nd round of Charter Changes
- Exit 16 redevelopment/improvements plan in anticipation of new intersection
- Updates to internal policies/procedures/fees and revenues
