TOWN OF COLCHESTER - PLANNING COMMISSION
Pursuant to Title 24 VSA, Chapter 117, the Colchester Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Outer Bay Conference Room in the Colchester Town Offices, 781 Blakely Road to amend the 2014 Town Plan prepared by the Planning Commission.
The Colchester Town Plan is a five year land use plan for the entire geographic area of the Town created under the enabling authority of the Vermont Municipal and Regional Planning and Development Act. The authority to prepare and implement this comprehensive plan is granted to the Town through the Vermont Planning and Development Act, Title 24 of the Vermont Statutes Annotated, Chapter 117. The current Town Plan was adopted in 2014 by the Colchester Select Board and will expire in 2019. The Planning Commission proposes to amend the 2014 Plan to reflect recent zoning changes adopted in the Malletts Bay area prior to that expiration. The proposed amendments include revisions to the following chapters:
