Green Up Day
Vermont’s annual Green Up Day is coming up this weekend, Saturday May 6th. There are a couple of changes this year:
- Bags are available this week at the Colchester Police Department on Blakely Road, Burnham Library on Main Street, and at Niquette State Park.
- There will be signup sheets at each location when you pick up bags. We need to know the location where people will clean, the number of people in your group and the name of the contact person. This information will help us determine what areas are left to clean up and where to send folks Saturday.
- The Conservation Commission will be at the Police Department on Saturday from 8 AM to 2 PM. We will assign areas to people who did not pre-register.
- Be sure to join us from noon to 1 PM for the Cook Out sponsored by the Colchester Milton Rotary and the superb cooking team from Colchester Lions club!
Our thanks to Meyer’s Red Can Family for their contribution of a dumpster for Green Up Day trash. It will be located in front of the Colchester Town Offices.
