[ARCHIVED] Manager's Message of the Week (6/16)

Time for Burnham Library’s Annual Summer Book Sale!

Do you love books? Do you love used books at bargain prices even more? Then Burnham Library’s Annual Summer Book Sale is for you! You can browse through a great selection of hard covers and paperbacks, fiction and non-fiction, in many genres for all ages and tastes, plus CDs and DVDs. Come to the Friday Preview Sale on June 23, 5-8 PM for the best selection; a $5 donation is suggested and will benefit the Friends of the Library. Saturday, June 24, hours are 8 AM - 4 PM. For the lowest prices, shop the Blow-Out Sale on Sunday, June 25, 10 AM - 2 PM. Don’t miss this great collection of gently used books and audiovisual materials – all at bargain prices! The sale takes place at Colchester High School, 131 Laker Lane, in the cafeteria.

Have you been planning to weed out books that are taking up valuable “real estate” on your home book shelves? Consider donating them to the Book Sale. You can drop off books at Colchester High School on Monday, June 19, 4 - 7:30 PM; Tuesday, June 20, 10 AM - 2 PM; and Wednesday, June 21, 10 AM - 7:30 PM. It’s a great way to support the library and make room for all the new books you’ll be finding at the sale! Hardcovers, paperbacks, DVDs, and CDs will be accepted. Please, no periodicals, encyclopedias, videotapes, textbooks, or moldy / damaged books.

We’re also seeking volunteers! Call 264-5660 for more information. Thanks for supporting the library!
