There will be little, if any, construction activity the week of Dec. 4. In the coming weeks, the project will remove trees at the north end of the construction zone on Route 7/2 (north of the Creek Farm Road intersection) to enable installation of a drainage structure next year; a specific date has not been set by the tree company. When trees are removed, the southbound lane will be closed, necessitating one-lane travel on Route 7/2. Tree and stump removal is expected to take 2-3 days.
Also, in mid-December, the contractor will complete the final installation of the traffic signal at the Route 7/2/Bay Road/Route 127 intersection. The lights will be flashing red/yellow until the signal work is done.
PLEASE DRIVE WITH CAUTION THROUGH THE WORK ZONE AND “HANDS FREE” IF USING A CELL PHONE.
