PUBLIC MEETING

Tuesday, April 10, 2018

Colchester Town Offices, 781 Blakely Road

Outer Bay Conference Room, 6:30 PM

Please join Colchester Parks & Recreation and Design Concepts as they present the results of a year-long master planning process for the Bayside Park and Bayside-Hazelett properties.  The presentation will include numerous updates and a more comprehensive plan with a strategy for phased implementation over time.  Updates to the lakefront area have been adjusted to more strongly link those activities to the upper park and community spaces, with a strong mix of passive and active amenities, including water play, nature play, climbing, and a dog park.  Details on access and amenities for the Hazelett parcel, including tennis, pickleball, and trails will be covered as well.  The completed plan will make the park the centerpiece of community outdoor recreation in Colchester, and incorporate potential future amenities, such as a Community Center, Lake House, and intersection improvements.

Members of the Colchester community are encouraged to attend this meeting as these plans will greatly impact the future of Parks & Recreation growth in Colchester.  Citizen input is of the highest importance to ensure these are community-driven plans.

Visit the "Additional Info..." link for more history on this project.

This is an open Public Meeting held at the Colchester Town Offices, 3rd floor conference room (Outer Bay), located at 781 Blakely Road. Please join us!  If you are unable to attend this meeting, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the Parks & Recreation Department directly to share your thoughts on these very important issues for our community.

Sincerely,

Glen Cuttitta, CPRP
