The Colchester 4th of July Celebration will take place on Wednesday, July 4, 2018.
5K Fun Run
The day begins with a 5K down Middle Road. On-site registration only beginning at 7:30 AM at the Union Memorial School (parking lot). Race begins at 8:15 AM. Prizes for top three male, female, and youth (ages 12 and under). Light refreshments available.
4th of July Parade
The parade will be on BLAKELY ROAD this year. The route goes from Colchester High School to Lavigne Road. Please plan accordingly. Blakely Road will be closed 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM during the parade. Parking available at Colchester High School, Colchester Middle School, Malletts Bay School, and Colchester Town Offices. Please do not park along the Blakely Road shoulders on the morning of the parade.
Bayside Beach
Lifeguards will be on-duty at Bayside Beach from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Bayside Paddle Sports will also be open for rentals: Stand Up Paddleboards, Kayaks, Pedal Boat, and Inflatable Water Park. Please visit http://bit.ly/BaysidePaddleSports for details on rentals and Inflatable Water Park use.
Bayside Park
Concessions, Inflatables, and Music Entertainment will happen at Bayside Park from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Enjoy a variety of concessions from the Colchester Lions Club, Daybreak Community Church, Esperanza's Restaurante, Luiza's Homemade with Love, and Re-Marc-Able Bakery! Real Bounce will have an inflatable obstacle course and bounce house set up, and The Hitmen will once again provide '70s & '80s party rock & roll musical entertainment.
Fireworks
The fireworks show begins at dusk and will be launched from the Bayside Softball Field. Viewing areas are available at the Colchester High School Practice Field (near the softball field road, off of Laker Lane) and from Bayside Park. Parks is available at the Colchester High School, Colchester Middle School, and Malletts Bay School. [Bayside Park Parking Lot is for Handicapped Parking ONLY].
