The Colchester Public Works Department would like the community to be aware that beginning May 31 and continuing throughout June we will be completing a series of pipe lining projects across town, funded by the stormwater utility.
Pipe lining is a maintenance strategy that has proven to be more cost effective and less disruptive to the community than digging up and replacing pipes, as these liners restore the structural integrity of the pipes and have a 50-year expected life with very limited traffic disruptions.
Work crews and traffic safety personnel will be working alongside the roadway so please drive cautiously in work areas. Roadways involved in this year’s project include Heineberg Drive, Macrae Road, Justin Morgan Drive, Williams Road, Porters Point Road, Aurielle Drive, Buckingham Drive, Troy Avenue, Reynolds Drive, Malletts Bay Avenue, Hercules Drive, and East Lakeshore Drive.
We would like to thank you in advance for your patience as we complete this important project!
If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to reach out to the Department of Public Works at 802-264-5620.
