Welcome to the Colchester Police Department’s web page.  CPD is a full-service law enforcement agency serving the town of Colchester, Vermont for over 50 years. Our 29 sworn officers are some of the most experienced and dedicated law enforcement professionals you will find anywhere.  We also have two full-time records staff and six communications specialists who bring a high level of service and expertise to the department. 

Colchester is a vibrant community located in the northwest corner of Vermont in Chittenden County.  Our 37 square miles includes 29 miles of shoreline around Malletts Bay and tributaries of Lake Champlain.  We are the host to Saint Michael’s College and the Vermont campus of Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences as well as numerous business, residential, and recreational settings.
