Mission Statement
We will:
- Provide children with an Active, Creative, Enriching before and after school experience.
- Provide staff who strive for excellence.
- Support parents by providing the best before and after school environment for their children.
Program Details
The A.C.E. program incorporates Active, Creative, and Enrichment components throughout the school year. The Active components will focus on sports, recreational games, outdoor games, and lifetime skills activities. The Creative components will focus on food fundamentals, arts and crafts, and quiet time activities. We will incorporate special events, field trips, and guest artists to achieve the enrichment component of the program.
Schedule & Calendar
The A.C.E. Program runs Monday through Friday. The program at each school will follow the Colchester School District Calendar. The program does not run on early release days.
Before School (MBS Only)
Our morning program begins at 7 a.m. and is structured to allow various time drop offs. The children will play light games, board games, arts and crafts, and more. MBS begins classes at 8:30am.
After School Program
Our after school program begins at school dismissal and runs until 6:00pm. We will provide quality childcare that parents can rely upon throughout the school calendar year. Students will work on homework, play games, make arts and crafts, play outside, and much more. A daily snack will be provided for all children.
Staff
All staff meet Vermont State Licensing requirements with regard to education and experience. Each school has an on-site director who will provide direct supervision and development of the program. Depending on the site, the staff-to-student ratio will be either 10:1 (PPS, UMS) or 13:1 (MBS, CMS).
