Welcome to the website of the Colchester Public Works Department. Colchester has many diverse land uses, and an abundance of natural resources. Situated on the eastern shores of Lake Champlain with a population of over 17,000, Colchester is one of the largest communities in the State of Vermont.

Responsibilities & Services

The Colchester Public Works Department provides a variety of public services to the community. Our primary responsibilities include the planning, design, construction, maintenance and operation of the community's infrastructure. 

These services are implemented through the divisions of:
