The Burnham Memorial Library follows Vermont Department of Health, CDC Health and Safety and State of Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development (ACCD) guidelines.
The library is currently open for reduced in-person hours.
Effective March 14th, all unvaccinated patrons and those wishing to visit the youth area must continue to wear a mask. Children under the age of three are exempt. Vaccinated patrons who will be visiting only the main floor of the library, may choose not to wear a mask. If you are experiencing any symptoms of illness, regardless of vaccination status or planned length of visit, please do not enter the building. Staff will continue to bring items out to patrons' cars if they do not feel comfortable entering the building; please call or email to make arrangements. All in-person programming and groups using the Meeting House will require masking until further notice.
We appreciate your further support.
The library offers vestibule pickup for patrons who do not feel comfortable entering the library. Requested items will be held in brown paper bags with your name on it.
In-person programming is currently a mix of outdoor events, with some limited indoor programming. There is no eating or drinking during programs.
The library offers computer usage as well as printing, photocopying, scanning and faxing services. Wi-Fi is also available from the parking lot. Please note that our wireless is an unsecured network. We strongly recommend that wireless users do not use it to transmit personal, financial, or legal data.
While hours are currently reduced, staff is available by phone and email, Monday – Friday from 10 am – 6 pm, and Saturdays, from 10 am – 3 pm.
