Green Mountain Library Consortium

GMLC

Green Mountain Library Consortium (GMLC) is a web service that offers downloadable audiobooks and eBooks to libraries throughout the state. It works through Overdrive, a well known vendor for library downloadables. In its shared catalog, GMLC offers thousands of eBooks and Audiobooks for checkout to library patrons.

How to Access GMLC Content on Mobile Devices

Mobile devices can access the GMLC collection using the Libby app. After installing it, follow the onscreen instructions. When adding a library, search for Burnham Memorial Library and look for the Green Mountain Library Consortium collection. It will then ask for your card number and pin. If you need help connecting your account, please call us at 802-264-5660.

You are able to connect multiple library cards and collections to one Libby account. Your Burnham Library card will also give you access to the Vermont Department of Libraries collection, but it will need to be added separately.

How to Access GMLC Content on the Web

  1. Go directly to the website of the collection you want to access in your web browser: GMLC
  2. The dropdown menu will prompt you to 'choose your library' and we are listed as 'Burnham Memorial'.
  3. Log in with your library card number and pin (password).
    • If you need help remembering your pin or are having trouble logging in, please call us at 802-264-5660.
  4. Once you have logged in, you can download the Overdrive software to your Windows or Mac computer, or to your Android or Apple phone or tablet (including Kindle Fire). For further tutorials and assistance, click Help in the upper right hand corner of their website.
