Libraries are more than just books (though we have plenty of those, of course!). In addition to the museum and park passes available for Burnham cardholders to check out, we also have a variety of items and maker kits that we consider part of our "Library of Things" that are available for borrowing.

Our CD players available for loan also have radio capabilities and a cassette player. Borrow it on its own, or borrow it alongside something from our audiobook on CD and/or music collection.
Disc Golf Kit
Disc Golf Kit
Disc golf, also known as frisbee golf, is a game in which players throw a disc at a target; it's played using rules similar to golf. This set makes a great portable beach game, yard game, or backyard game.
GooDee YG600 Plus Projector
A projector with 4K resolution, and both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support. Perfect for presentations or watching movies at home.
LED Light Therapy Lamp
Comes with the light, stand, AC adaptor, and instructions.
Launchpads
Our youth department has a variety of Launchpad tablets with pre-loaded educational activities. Our collection includes Launchpads with the following topics:

The game design kit has everything you need to get started creating and playing your own video games. Activities include designing an avatar, exploring level difficulties, and building your own game. This kit touches upon these iSTEAM maker concepts: Inquiry, Technology, Mathematics, and Art.

The music maker kit contains everything you need to get started reading music, learning songs, and playing ukulele. Round Knitting Loom
A starter kit to learn to make hats, booties, scarfs and more. Kit comes with three different-sized knitting circle looms, pompom makers, plastic needles, skeins of yarn, and instruction.
Squishy Circuits
Kit includes insulating dough, conductive dough, and instructive cards and books to help you learn how to create electronic circuits using modeling dough.

Interested in studying the night sky? This kit contains a telescope that's perfect for stargazing in your back yard. It even contains learning materials to help you get started.
