CPR Training Center

Colchester Rescue serves as an American Heart Association (AHA) Training Center for the instruction of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and basic recognition of medical emergencies.

We offer a variety of courses; if you are not sure which course is right for you or your organization, please contact us and we can answer any of your questions.

Course completion cards are valid for 2 years.

We require at least 3 weeks advance notice to set up a course. We are not able to accommodate 1-on-1 or last minute classes.
AHA

CPR and First Aid

 Online Courses through AHA ** 
 Then call us at 264-5590 to sign-up for the skills session.  You will need to bring a copy of the completion certificate with you, as well as the $35.00 fee.  Please note that we do not accept credit or debit card payment for skills sessions.  Personal/bank check payment is preferred.   

Monthly skills sessions rotate throughout our satellite sites within Chittenden County, and therefore may or may not be conducted at Colchester Rescue.  Space is limited; please call us to pre-register for a skills session. 


BLS for Healthcare Providers


Teaches the skills of CPR including ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device and oxygen, use of an AED and relief of FBAO in responsive and unresponsive victims. The course is targeted for individuals (such as EMTs, physicians, nurses, physical therapists and other allied health professionals) who work in a health care setting.
  • This course does not include basic first aid training
  • Course length: 6 hours initial, 3 hours renewal

Heartsaver

CPR/AED 


Heartsaver CPR teaches CPR  with the use of an AED as well as relief of foreign-body airway obstruction for adults, infants, and children; intended for lay responders such as firefighters, police, day care employees, and babysitters.
  • Course length: 4 hours (All ages)
  • Adult only: 2 hours
  • Pediatric (Infant/child) only: 2 hours

Heartsaver First Aid


This is intended for people who respond to emergencies in the workplace or community.  
  • Note: This class can incorporate the use of CPR/AED for all ages
  • Course length: 3 to 7 hours, depending on class size and inclusion/exclusion of CPR/AED

​Friends and Family CPR

This is a non-certification class, intended for those people desiring general knowledge of how to perform CPR.  
  • This class is offered on a limited basis and may not be available at all times.
